Grow Up!

Woe to you who are complacent in Zion Amos 6:1a (NIV)

The Bible has so much to say about Zion: “upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance”, “as the mountains surround Jerusalem so the Lord surrounds His people” and in the Bible verse above, we are warned not to be “at ease” in Zion. The term “at ease” means not be complacent; to be complacent is to be content with status quo. The message version puts it this way: “woe to you who think you live on easy street in Zion”. Life is what you make out of it; if you push, you get. If you don’t, you remain at the same level. Mercy can intervene sometimes, but that doesn’t exonerate you from going after what is yours.

Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. Galatians 4:1 (NLT)

Welcome to July, our month of BECOMING MORE. GOD’s Word is full of promises and things He made ours, but we have to grow up, and also fight the good fight of faith to possess them. No one, but yourself, knows how much and to what extent you desire a supernatural turnaround. For that reason, take your life into your hands and make a demand. Your pastor can help to an extent, but you need to take your place and fight for your destiny. You must become the priest of your destiny. There are things you need to shift in the realm of the spirit for you to experience a turnaround in the physical realm, for that reason you cannot afford to be lazy or remain complacent while time and life goes by. It is time to build your capacity and become more.

I refuse the spirit of complacency, I remove every weight of laziness, I throw aside pull of status quo and I rise above the grip of the world. I declare that I arise to my full status as a child of GOD and by His strength, I possess all the blessings and inheritance that He has set aside for me to live life to the full, in Jesus’ Name.
